I'm a portrait photographer based in the blue mountains, west of Sydney. I love collaborating with people and live for catching those captivating fleeting moments that freeze a little bit of the essence of each person I photograph.
When I'm not shooting professional portraits, I'm likely on the road photographing people in their bedrooms for the ongoing series 1000 bedrooms. The project is shot on film, which I still love to shoot whenever I can.
1000 Bedrooms has attracted international press and in 2014 won the photography blog of the year in Pedestrian TVs Blogster awards. The first instalment of the book series is due for release in late 2018.
My portraits have been selected as finalists for the Perth Centre for Photography Iris Award, and the Olive Cotton Award.

"Margaret went beyond the call of duty to provide us with amazing photos for a national magazine cover. The band loved working with her as did management and she fulfilled the brief perfectly. We were so impressed with the results." Lisa Willows, Rough Velvet Records, RAWR Music
"Is it wrong for me to be swooning over a photo that Margaret took if it's one of me? I swear I'm usually not so narcissistic." Helen Perris, Musician
" I was so pleased with my shots. Margaret was so easy to work with. I felt so comfortable and she really has an observant eye for detail. She gives easy direction and was a pleasure to be around. Prompt replies also. Highly recommended for headshots!" Renee Bourke, Actor and Host
